Terms and conditions .
All bookings undertaken by the Cosmopolitan Big Band are bound by the following terms and conditions:
All bookings are confirmed by the signing of 2 contracts – one on behalf of the Cosmopolitan Big Band, the other by you, the client(s): signed contracts must be returned, and deposit paid, within 14 days from the date of your contract being sent or prior to end date of promotional event, if applicable. Failure to return contracts and/or deposit will result in your booking being removed from our calendar and the Cosmopolitan Big Band reserve the right to engage an alternative booking for that date.
The balance of fee(s) due will be payable on the date of engagement in cash, prior to performance, unless otherwise negotiated prior to the signing of contracts. If payment is not received as per these terms, then we reserve the right to withdraw from performance. Please note: we do not accept cheques as method of payment.
All bookings are contracted on a 19:30 – 00:00 basis; any amendments to these time(s) will be at the discretion of the band and additional charges may apply.
Bookings are not made for a set length of performance e.g. 4.5 hours, but for between set times e.g. 19:30 – 00:00. All set-up/sound-check times will be detailed within the above times and the band will arrive approximately 75 minutes prior to performance. If we cannot gain access to the performance area in adequate time then we will do our best to set-up promptly but are under no obligation to extend our performance past the time(s) contracted.
It is the responsibility of you, the client(s), to arrange suitable changing facilities for the band to use prior to performance. Under no circumstance will toilets be accepted as changing facilities. Should suitable changing facilities not be arranged then the band will not change into performance attire. A locked room should be provided for players belongings during the performance.
In the event of a band member being ill/unavailable to perform for any reason we reserve the right to replace them with a musician of similar quality/ability as judged by the Cosmopolitan Big Band.
If you wish the band to play a song that does not appear on our current playlist then we will be happy to provide an mp3 of your song to be played through our PA system.
In the event of cancellation you will be invoiced for the relevant amount, as per your contract. In the further event of non-payment, we will pass the case to our representative from the Musicians’ Union who will invoke legal action as necessary.
The Cosmopolitan Big Band reserve the right to amend or withdraw any information relating to the band and it's service, including but not limited to; promotional events, band information, playlists, performances and more.
