How much do you cost?


Price is dependent on location and date. Please contact us via the contact section of this website for a quote.




Where are you based and how far will you travel?


We are based in the central belt of Scotland and will travel anywhere!




How long do you play?


We normally play from 7:30pm-12am with a break during the evening buffet and sometimes one comfort 10 minute break. This can however, be flexible dependant on your individual needs.




How long do you take to set up and soundcheck?


From gaining access to the performance area we will take a maximum of 1 hour to setup and sound-check.




Do you play music during your break?


We do provide music during the break. Alternatively, you can provide us with an ipod with your own chosen playlist.




Can we choose the set we want at our event?


With years of experience in entertainment we feel we are best equipped to choose the songs and the order in which we play them. This is partly what you are paying us for. However, feel free to choose any songs you prefer from our playlist and we will ensure they are played.




Can we choose any song for our first dance?


Yes, We would be happy to play any song from our set list for your first dance. If we do not play the song you had in mind, We would be happy to play an MP3 recording through our PA system for you.




What time will you arrive?


Your date can be reserved for a maximum of three weeks. If another client enquires regarding securing your date during this time we will contact you and offer you first opportunity to confirm your booking.




Is your equipment PAT tested


All applicable electrical items that we use have the relevant safety certificates and are maintained regularly.




Can we provisionally book the band?

What types of venues would you play?


The band will perform at a wide variety of venues from pubs & village halls to large country estates, theatres, halls, hotel function rooms. The band will also perform in marquees or outdoors, under cover, if the weather allows it.




Will we also need to hire a DJ?


We are happy to provide only one hour’s worth of a DJ set at an additional cost. A selection of continuous music can be chosen by us or a selected song list can be provided by you. Songs chosen by you must be dealt with one week before the event.




Will we have to provide a PA and lights?


The band supplies their own PA system. We also supply a dedicated lighting rig.




Can we book you as a smaller group?


The Cosmopolitan Big Band perform only as a 20-piece band.




Do you play Ceilidh music?


We can play up to 30 minutes of traditional Scottish dances, all fully called by a member of the band.




Do you accommodate requests?


If the song is part of our set list, just ask us and we will let you know.




How loud are you?


Our volume is at your discretion. If you need us to play quieter or indeed louder, we will try and accommodate this as far as possible.




What do you do if one of the band members is unavailable for my event?


This will not affect your booking. In the event of a band member being unavailable, we have a large pool of capable musicians who can step in.
